We are the only hotel at Pyhä providing both lakefront views among the fells as well as easy access to the ski lifts and hiking trails. In addition to our excellent location and premium accommodation, our customers can trust us to guide them to the best local activities and natural wonders.

Kurula’s location at Pyhä is unique. The resort is located right next to Lake Pyhäjärvi, only a short walk from the ski lifts, hiking trails and the oldest national park in Finland.

The main lodge has 17 spacious premium suites. The suites have magnificent views of the lake and fells.

All activities as well as the serene lake are right outside the door.

Kurula’s is designed with nature in mind. The energy-efficient resort blends in with the forest and uses geothermal energy from the lake for heating.


The main hub houses our reception and dining room where our guests are welcome to relax over snacks or a drink. At the lakeside, you will find our exclusive sauna and hot tub to where you can order snacks and beverages. 

In the Winter seasons,  we have a full a la carte menu and service every day.  Breakfast is included for reservations from our own website starting from 1.12.

Restaurant is open in summer time only with request and breakfast is possible to the room with extra price.

Premium Suites

Each of Kurula’s 17 spacious suites has its own sauna, kitchen, deck and views of the lake and fells.

All of the suites have in the main room queen size bed with view to the lake. In premium and superior suites have in a separate bedroom another queen size bed. Some of the beds are possible also to split for 2 separate beds. In family premium suites there is bunk bed in separate bedroom.

will take you to best locations to experience the real Lapland experience.

We will guide our customers to the best local activities and natural wonders – in all seasons. We also want our guests to slow down and spend time in the glorious nature around us , and our experience packages are planned accordingly.

Naturally, we also provide all other traditional activities you would expect in Lapland, such as husky and reindeer safaris, northern light hunting and visits with Santa Claus.

Amazing lake sauna experience - We introduce you the Lohkare sauna by Tingander, Amethyst edition.

Our lakeside sauna is uniquely handcrafted to tell a visual story about its surroundings. The way Lohkare is carved from the wood is an art form in itself. Beautiful Luosto amethysts gems have been the inspiration for the design of our masterpiece.
Pyhä is located in Eastern Lapland, next to the oldest national park in Finland, Pyhä-Luosto. Rovaniemi railway station and airport can be reached in only 90 minutes by car. Both have great bus connections to Pyhä.
Kemijärvi is a 45-minute drive from Pyhä. There is a railway station and some bus connections to Pyhä are available.
