Resort
Kurula’s location at Pyhä is unique. The resort is located right next to Lake Pyhäjärvi, only a short walk from the ski lifts, hiking trails and the oldest national park in Finland. The main lodge has 17 spacious premium suites. The suites have magnificent views of the lake and fells.
All activities as well as the serene lake are right outside the door.
Kurula’s is designed with nature in mind. The energy-efficient resort blends in with the forest and uses geothermal energy from the lake for heating.
Restaurant
The main hub houses our reception and restaurant where our guests are welcome to relax over food, snacks or a drink. At the lakeside, you will find our exclusive sauna and hot tub to where you can order snacks and beverages.
In the Winter season 17.11.2025 - 30.4.2026 we serve a breakfast and full À la carte menu every day.
Outside the main season, we are open by appointment, and our facilities provide a stunning setting for weddings, birthdays, events and meetings. We operate as a meeting and event venue for gatherings of up to 50 guests - please request a quote.
Restaurant is open in summer time only with request and breakfast is possible to the room with extra price.

Unique Experiences
We will guide our customers to the best local activities and natural wonders – in all seasons. We also want our guests to slow down and spend time in the glorious nature around us. Naturally, we provide all other traditional activities you would expect in Lapland, such as husky and reindeer safaris, northern light hunting and visits with Santa Claus.
The ski bus operates year-round several times a day, with a stop located next to our resort. North Slope lifts and cross-country ski trails are less than a 10-minute walk away (both approximately 600 meters away).
Our lakeside sauna is uniquely handcrafted to tell a visual story about its surroundings. The way Lohkare is carved from the wood is an art form in itself. Beautiful Luosto amethysts gems have been the inspiration for the design of our masterpiece.

Location
Pyhä is located in Eastern Lapland, next to the oldest national park in Finland, Pyhä-Luosto. Rovaniemi railway station and airport can be reached in only 90 minutes by car. Both have great bus connections to Pyhä.
Kemijärvi is a 45-minute drive from Pyhä. There is a railway station and some bus connections to Pyhä are available.
